That one gave me a headache...
Here's a really nice easy one to coast along with from the 'tough old gut' - Italy.
In October 1943, as the Germans retreated from Naples, a well-known soldier attached to the British 23rd Armoured Brigade was ordered to halt before clearing the City.
This was to allow General Mark Clark to effect a 'triumphant entry'. The well-known soldier's Jeep preceded Clark's half-track into the City as they were greeted enthusiastically by - no- one !
