I think as well that Ultra gave away the details of places to sink the ships.That certainly gave the advantage..As a matter of fact after understanding how much Ultra gave away info, the fact that Germans won anything at all (especially from the beginning of 1942 when the information was getting to the Allied commanders quite fast) is surprising.
