URL means Uniform Resource Locator, this is the full address starting with http through to the dot whatever or end extension. They say “use the full URL” because in some set-ups you can use only the http and the domain name. The set-up then has a referrer facility which links and directs you to the full URL address. Sites use this to make remembering the address easier. If you’re linking to such an address, this site requires the full URL address not just the referral link.
Again on this site, at the front of an image address you need to have at the end of it with no spaces to make it work. If it makes the code easier to remember, you can spell out the command words in full, as with [image] and [/image]. The / signifies the end of the command and is quite universal in its use.
