Although you have moved on, it is because the Germans ran their ship's clocks on Berlin time and the British on Greenwich mean time. Berlin is an hour ahead. The difference from there is a matter of whose watch / clock / chronometer was used and how much each was off from actual time. </font>[/quote]Definitely not. All dates given mean local time. The engagement took place in the morning, not in the middle of the night.
