Interesting question..

The Germans themselves did not call the new tactics Blitzkrieg, did they? It was the press that invented the term (?) and thus it seems it would only be usable for the operation in Poland, and the campaign in West 1940. Or Balkans 1941.

Anyone know when the German attack was called Blitzkrieg for the first time??
