No, you can't camouflage all those trench lines, these were in plain sight to any reconnaissance plane. What was out of sight was the reserves of the two Fronts - Central and Voronezh, plus the entire Koniev's Steppe Front, way behind the main lines!

Can you expand on your OMG idea? I was under the impression this was a post-war development of the Deep Battle doctrine...
