I think putting Hitler to court with other nazi bosses would not have been that easy. It´s not easy with Saddam either...

You´d have to make sure he doesn´t make himself a hero in the eyes of the world, or a martyr. He´d have some interesting knowledge on Russians and that could be quite humiliating to the allied.
( Maybe he would know something of the western allied as well.)For example to my knowledge the secret part of the Molotov-Ribbentrop deal Aug 1939 was brought up in the Nuremberg hearings and the Russians did not know beforehand....

So it might have been better to make Hitler "vanish" in the battle of Berlin ?
