109 & Spit had no prob finding a fight for the most part in the war. Spit found it in BoB, cross channel Rhubarbs, North Africa, Med, Pacific near Australia, Burma, & even after Normandy invasion. True it couldn't follow bombers all the way to Berlin, but most campaigns it did just fine finding a fight.
