I read this book earlier this year too. I thought it was easy to read and gave me an insight into hitler and his relationships with some of his generals that I had not known before. Indeed another picture emerged than I had read before. For example Hitler's disinterest in conquering England, and that some generals didn't think some of hitler's tactical decisions weren't that crazy anyway.
A very interesting book, Fried!
