Rick Atkinson, currently a Visiting Professor (or comparable title) at the US Army War College, notes on one of his websites - http://www.anarmyatdawn.com/forum/ - that Volume 2 of the Liberation Trilogy, extending the Mediterranean Theater history up to the liberation of Rome, should be released in the fall of 2007.

I've been told the delay is primarily to allow for confirmation of all the information and sources. The delay is mildly frustrating for me as a reader, but I expect it will be another outstanding book worth the wait.
