An important new book has just landed at my house - 'The Royal Air Force At Arnhem' by Buist/Reinders/Maassen ( published by the Society of Friends Of The Airborne Museum ).

The book is superbly-produced, and happily does not tread the same ground as Arie-Jan van Hees' previous works on the subject. This one is more 'readable', consisting of a clear day-by-day narrative with many personal accounts and an excellent selection of photographs. Interesting chapters are included about Flak , crash sites, aircraft used, etc.

This will become a standard book or any serious Arnhem shelf. Highly recommended, and if you want one, move fast....print runs tend to be low.

( Where to get a copy ? Our very own 'Airborne Medic' may be able to help you there ! )
