DB - Antony Beevor of course acheived great fame with his book 'Stalingrad', his follow-up 'Berlin '45' was felt to be not quite as good ( both books discussed previously on the Forum ).

'Crete' was written before he bacame 'famous' and many regard it as one of his best - it's a gripping book to read.
