Hallo gentlemen!
I have a doubt here. I have just purchased a book named "Stalingrad, the hellish surrounding" by Stephen Walsh, Sanhurst's Soviet specialist.
Inside of the book there are many magnific photos, but there is a weird one, apparently it is of Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler visiting the Eastern front, beside him is apparently Generalobesrt Hermann Hoth and at Himmler's right is another officer. Himmler seems like Himmler, with the Chaplin mustach and tiny glasses, BUT he is wearing a Wehrmacht's general uniform and he is wearing a RK!!! Why the hell was the SS supreme commander wearing a Wehrmacht's general uniform? And I don't remember Himmler been awarded with an EK II, don't say a RK!!!
Have you seen the photo? If not I will see what I can do and scan it and post it here, OK?
