That's a worthwhile project indeed - the efforts of Australian and NZ pilots are often overlooked.
He probably doesn't 'count' for your research as he was most definitely an 'ace' in the truest sense of the word, but a personal favourite of mine is 'Pat' Hughes DFC of 234 Squadron. In a tragically short period of the Battle of Britain ( he was killed September 7th, 1940 ), Pat was credited with seven enemy aircraft destroyed.
