In this classic 1943 suspenseful melodrama, a British tank officer named John Bramble assumes the identity of a dead waiter who was also a German spy at a sleepy coastal hotel, the Empress of Britain, in North Africa. While impersonating this waiter/spy, he learns of the name "Professor Cronstaetter." Who was this Cronstaetter and what did he do? As a bonus....who "portrayed" the Professor in his only appearance in the movie which was a newspaper photograph?
