I've recently watched
Twelve o'clock High with Gregory Peck. Very good account of the early bomber campaign and the personal and command problems at HQs.
Also I watched
The Desert Fox with James Mason. Pretty lousy. It's not a biographical nor a historical film, it's just a bad combination of all those things… also, there's an Italian-accented and very ridiculous Hitler… Only good thing: good editing of war film footage.
But I watched
All Quiet in the Western Front (1929) and it's become one of my favourite films ever! It's just amazing. A great film based on a great book. The little adaptation they made was spectacular, battle scenes are impressive and cinematography is supperb! Highly recommended!
