Dear Roland: No problem, I had forgotten about that postcard. By your nice photos, I see you had a good time in Laboe and Bremerhaven. I love Laboe--did you stay at that nice hotel the one closest to U 995, I think it was called Am Seertassin or something like that.

Also, if you walked westwards from the Hotel, did you eat in that lousy Italian Ristorante? the food was lousy. Susanne and I also didnt like the fact that the mafia owns it and the hotel. If you ate there, did you notice 3-4 guys in black suits coming and going every few minutes?

Susanne and I toured the U 995 at about 3:30 pm, leaving at just before 5:00 so we could still get to visit the Marine Memorial in the background. That night the sunset was magnificant!! I have several panoramic views of it, from one end of the waterway to the other. I also have a few nighttime photos of U 995. I climbed over the sand dune and spent some time with my baby.

In Bremerhaven, did you go to that huge mall across the strasse? Man it was expensive-to say the least. We went to this restaurant just through the revolving doors and to the left, for something to drink and a snack to eat. This is where I had my first serving of Pommes Frites with mayonnaise ( French Fries w/ mayo) for all the unlucky out there. It really was good, so dont knock it until you try it.

Guess what, there is a better than average chance that I will be going back there in Sept, I will keep you informed... Maybe this time Susanne and I can visit the Restaurant that is now where Hitler used to call HOME.
