KP, as part of one of the SALT treaties with the
Soviet Union they are not allowed to break up the B-52's and have to store them in the open so the Russian satillites can view them each day and make sure the numbers don't change. SALT stands for Stragic Arms Limitation Treaty. (not spelled correct but you get the idea) I think the first one was signed in the late 70's.
