Besides, what "heavy offensive on the Eastern Front." are you talking about? I suggest you read a history book or two. At the same time as Op. Overlord was unfolding the Soviets were launching their northen Summer '44 offensive, better known in the West as 'Destruction of Army Group Centre'. Sounds ominous, doesn't it?
