That is probably the answer and Hitler also had other big problems elsewhere so he did not have time to think about Rommel and DAK. However when Rommel thought it was time to retreat from Alamein Hitler ordered them to hold on and win or die. So that´s why I was wondering if Hitler had any thoughts on Tobruk.
