Any idea if it is aircooled or watercooled engine ? The second picture has lots of safety pins in the bolts and I have seen that on the wheels of USAF aircraft wheels, at least on the larger aircraft like the C-5. It has big nuts on the interior circle and smaller nut on the exterior and hex nuts around that so it held something that had alot of torque ?

I see a P or a D stamped below the worm gear on the other picture, are there other stampings ?
