Enemy at the gates, liked the river crossing and assault but when the political officer showed up it slid downhill from there, snot nosed kid anyone?

Yeah, that was the first war movie I saw with my Dad. It's entertaining and most of the time it's completely cut up on TV(missing parts) The DVD is more enjoyable and the way I remember it was as a kid, uncut. By no means is it a film, but it's fun sometimes, if you don't watch it to death.
