Default Monument at Omaha Beach ?
On a recent visit to Omaha Beach i came across this monument (situated behind houses at the Les Moulins/Dog Red sector beach exit) which is dedicated to the 6th Engineer Special Brigade.
As can be seen from the photographs it has been stripped of all its lettering and plaques and left to overgrow.
Can anybody share any information about this monument and the reason why it has been left forgotten ?
