Default Re: Where to start?

The Second World War (ISBN 0-670-82359-7)
and Six Armies in Normandy (ISBN 0-14-005293-3) both by John Keegan

There are a multitude of books on individuals and small units that can give a good history of the war also, if you want to read them. Let us know if you do.
