Now that sounds familiar. I am not impressed with Ken Burns as a film maker. It is very PBS and reminds me of Clint Eastwood's recent films. The file footage is very good. I have seen much in my time. It is worth watching but if you are going to spend your hard earned pennies go with the BBC World At War series which is a much better quality made doc and that was in 1974.

The: "World-At-War" Series was excellent. Also, for a series even better than WaW, try watching Battleline. This series came out in the 50's and is easily equal or passing of: Victory-At-Sea." And one other older series that is a great Doc series to watch is: The Twentieth Century - which was hosted by Walter Kronkite.
