Here's some 8mm Mauser ammo made in 1939. A couple of years ago, J&G Sales in Arizona (I think) had this for sale at a very good price. I bought a few hundred rounds for my Gewehr 98. Since that rifle is registered for the light ball used in WWI, this heavy ball shoots about eight inches high at 50 yards.

The P635 code is Gustloff-Werke, Otto Eberhardt-Patronenfabrik, Hirtenberg Niederdonau.
