Unhappy Re: David Lee 'Tex' Hill

Rest In Peace Tex. :-((

I was fortunate to get to meet him in person at the "big" Militaria and Gun Show held in Houston, TX back in Feb of 2002.

Tex had a booth where he was signing autographs with the Navigator from the Enola Gay "Dutch" van Kirk, but I got both of their autographs on nice 8x10 sized photo's. I have both photo's and can soon try to make a copy of them and see if I can get someone to post them here for me.

About two years before I met Tex, I had the opportunity on several occasions of talking with him on the phone.

If I remember correctly, Tex was the squadron commander of the 2nd Flying Tiger Squadron.

Tex was nice, funny and full of great stories. I will miss him greatly.
