I have been on the internet and the only 103rd infantry I could find was the Cactus infantry in Europe. Where can I look for information. He was in Guadalcanal, New Guinea and the Northern Solomons. I have written to the National Archives, but his record was destroyed in the fire. The only thing they could give me were the discharge papers, which we had.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

It is late tonight and I need to go to bed. I can give you a good rundown of the 103rd tomorrow night.

It was part of the 43rd Infantry Division. Look for it and you might find info on the 103rd.

Cactus was the codename for Guadalcanal.
