Default Re: Death Cards

Erich I must be overworked. For a while I thought the crew mentionned was German (Brown could have ben brown Braun)

my records of KG40 are incomplete for 1944, but I have a Kondor of the 8th Staffel shot down on February 5th. This Kondor was at the wrong place at the wrong moment. It was flying to Cognac to pick up a load of bombs when it was sighted by P-38s from the 20FG. These were escorting bombers targeting the Bourges Avord Airfield. The opportunity was too big and some of the p-38s left the escort for a while to get some target practise on this FW 200 C-4 (probably while it was taking off). I don't know the names of the crews.

If you are interested in sharing more Kondor losses send me a PM , I have a few other around my "back yard" .
