The Battle of Budapest

The Germans´third attempt to free Budapest started well, but the Soviets organized an overwhelming counterattack. The sheer force can be evidenced by the fact that just one battalion of the " Westland " regiment ( SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Fritz Vogt´s " Norge " battalion )was attacked by as many as 180 Soviet tanks (!!).
