I enjoy updating this thread from time to time.

Here's another photo which I've just rediscovered and scanned. Taken four years ago on my 'field trip' to the old RAF Bourn on the exact 60th anniversary of the day JB659 'J-Johnnie' took off from this very runway, never to return.




These old East Anglia airfields, in the depths of winter, are incredibly bleak and lonely places.
