Born 16 octobre 1897, Louis de Cazenave was the oldest surviving French WWI vet. He fought from 1916 in the 5th Senegalese bataillon . in 1919, after the war he became a railroad worker.
He will have a nationwide funeral. 
The last French WWI survivor is Lazare Ponticelli, born 7 décembre 1897. |
