So many for WW2 where to start is a problem....there have been at least three books on their general history...Warner, Geraghty, Strawson are the three that I can immediately think of....then I'd suggest looking for Phantom Major by a woman who's name excpaes me (Virginia Cowes????) which is about David Stirling who came up with the idea for the SAS in the Western Desert campaign......
