The japanese and the Russians exchanged a few operations at the beginning of ww2 here is a website that someone put infomation on about the incidents if you are interested and I remember something about russia invading Japan after the defeat of Germany but cant place where I say it, I think it is in one of my books I will have to go through them and see. I do know how ever that russia did have plans to invade the northern island of Japan but the Americans beat them with the bomb and the surrender of Japan.
