Hey all my grandfather fought in the Philippines he was in the 6th Infantry Division U.S. Army and stationed in the Philippines when the Japanese invaded. Instead of surrendering to the Japanese army with everyone else him and rest of his buds hid in the jungle. During the war him and his fellow buddies from the same division and couple of Philippine resistance group helped started a guerrilla war. He was a Major. Was wondering if anyone knows anything else about the 6th Infantry Division and if anyone knew anyone who served in that division as well
