Many thanks. after consulting the list I came to the same conclusion. I know from Bob Seth that they were on the way back and the aircraft went into the sea. Bob was picked up and returned to Newhaven which, coincidentally, is where I take the ferry to France. One other body was recovered from the water.
The pilot was my father although I was not born until the end of 1944.
