Ive used metal barrels before, and I have to say its nice not to have to sand down seam marks. have you seen the newestSturmgeschütz III Ausf.Bby Tamiya?
It has a metal barrel that is actually rifled. pretty sweet looking but at $50.00+ for an out-of-the-box kit,it's a little too rich for my blood.
