What kind of evidence do you want;

All the merchant ships the germans captured?
All the naval ships the germans captured?
All the planes the germans captured?
All the coastal fortifications the germans captured?
All the rifles the germans captured?
All the guns the germans captured?
All the vehicles the germans captured?

And later on, in 1945;
All the merchant ships the allied captured?
All the naval ships the allied captured?
All the Luftwaffe planes the allied captured? (Some 1000 planes!)
All the coastal fortifications the allied captured?
All the rifles and the machineguns the allied captured?
All the guns the allied captured?
All the vehicles the allied captured?

And all this became a part of an NATO defense in The Cold War.
Believe me, I grew up in the shadow of the nuclear tests at Novaya Zemlja, and the F-104's screaming overhead every day to intercept Soviet planes!
This is an endless merry-go-round, and it surprises
me that you don't see this!
