Re: US Army Units use of captured German Artilley in Europe
I do find it interesting as I have said before that in 1944 the supply of ammunition for US artillery was so low that the Army had to use captued equipment to make up for it. Lack of planning? Or was the Army so confident that the war was going to end soon that they allowed the stocks to run low in anticipation of a early end ?
