Default Re: Tirpitz

In "Fighting Steel", scenario Bismarck vs Destroyers, I take the Destroyers every time, and sink the Bismarck every time.
She got in lucky shots against Hood & PoW, a replay of that encounter would've ended with Bismarck sunk as many times as not.
I believe Tirpitz was well aware of her capabilities, and dared not sail too far or to many times.
She knew the fate that awaited her.
At least major damage if not sunk, and the Germans were in no condition to repair her. Time or material.
She could not have got her weight back in victories unless totally by surprise.
That chance being somewhere between slim & none.
They should have created a wood & canvas dummy ship and made the real one into tanks.
