The mindset you have in mind I tend to think was a brainwashing from the Japanese officer corps on thier men, and to a moderate extent, it worked. Ever since, seening
Letters from Iwo Jima I tend to be rather careful with the subject.
Not going against your point or anyhting though, bedcause there certainly were
many Japanese with this mindset, but there were still many other human prospectives on the Japanese side.
