I saw a documentary about them on a franco-German Tv Channel. They wanted to surrender and knew the war was over. But they were simply forgotten. There were no more supplies for them from germany, so they had to live on tins and hunt, but also the allies did not know they were there. The Norwegians were simply the first ones they met. They were scientists of a weather forecast station that provided info for the Atlantic front area.
