OK guys, this yay-hoo at work says that the mafia threatened the United States with the promise of its ships burning in New York City in harbors and piers, if the U.S, did not invade Sicily. he further more proceeded to tell me that the entire exodus of Italians during the immigration years happened as a direct result of WWII. I tried explaining to this guy that the great immigration happened waaaaay before WWII even started, and that I seriously doubted the mafia threatened the war dept, but he insists that he is right.
