No doubt about that, Paris was a Paradise compared to the Ostfront, but this of course was a German point of view: Wie Gott in Frankreich , as the saying goes. However if asked to the civilians, including some of those you see on these pictures (Belleville, Marais) this was more like Hell, or a gateway to Hell.
