Re: What is your favorite soundtrack from any war film?
The film "ZULU" with Micheal Cain.
Two soundtrack bits.... The advance by the Zulu wariors, to wards the walls of the makeshift fort at Rourkes Drift, and the final scenes with the massed choir of the Welsh Guards, singing " Men Of Harlech ", as the credits roll up.
Eleven Victoria Crosses, at one battle ? Yes, and very well deserved ones at that. One company, about 130 men, of the 24th Foot, facing down 6,000 Zulu warriors, who the day before had wiped out a British force that was 8 times larger. Surrounded and with out hope of relief, they held out and defeated the odds.

Ever after, the 24th were know as the " Die Hards ".
Long before Bruce Willis ever put on makeup.
