One of the reasons that led to "Hitler lives" myth in my opinion is the fact that the USSR did not officially declare Hitler dead until early 1960īs when Lev Bezymenski's book was released. Plenty of time for rumours to circulate. If I recall correctly Hitler was announced dead in West Germany in 1954-56 i.e. ten years after war.
