I just watched last night a B/W WWII film called Air Force. It was about the crew of a B-17 bomber called Mary Ann. The story begins just before the raid on Pearl Harbor, relates how they escape from Clark Field and ends with the crew listening to a briefing on how their B-17 squadron will bomb Tokyo. Well, when the movie was made, the B-29 wasn't in service yet.
There's some touching and very human moments in the movie. There's propaganda against the Japanese, too, which includes a claim that some Japanese driving a vegetable truck rammed several parked P-40s in Hickham and Clark. What's noticeable in the movie is that they keep mentioning P-40s but what is shown on the airstrips are P-39 Cobras.

Hi Fal, yep, i've seen Two Mules..... and thought it was a good film. I liked how his enfluence made a ladt quit being a Nun. ;-))
The movie: "Airforce" is ok but, it's meant to be a very patriotical piece which easily makes it a "dated" movie. It's good for a time filler.
Forgot to mention that I watched Greg Peck in: "Purple Plain" which was an OK film but, not one of his best. Also, I watched Duke in: The Fighting Seabees.
