Default Re: What is your favorite soundtrack from any war film?

"all the songs on platoon are great,i do not know the artist, but charlie sheen with a barrel in his gob;having a toke is great..
people say im the life of the party, cus i tell a joke or two.brilliant.yours,lee"

That's Smokey Robinson, Wilts.

This may be a little obscure for some, but my favorite is the theme for Ken Burns Documentary "The Civil War." It's called Ashokan Farewell and it was written by Jay Ungar and Molly Mason. When they read the Sullivan Ballou letter with Farewell playing in the background...Well, you'd just have to hear it.
