Interesting indeed 343 ... first thought the intakes on the wings where for jet engines, because you can't see the 'pusher' engine on the back in your photo ...

Whilst taking a closer look at the Curtiss-Wright XP-55 Ascender I hit on your one ... The Northrop XP-56 Black Bullet. Looks like your image was taken after the second test flight, after the size of the 'dorsal fin' was increased.
