IIRC an Allied pilot claimed to have shot down a Do 335, if true it did see combat even if it was a test flight. But maybe I'm confusing with Pierre Clostermann's reported failed attempt to catch up with a plane he identified as a Do 335. BTW does anybody know if the episode is in one of his books? I read le grand cirque many years ago but don't remember it.
